My F-650 Cummins build
My F-650 Cummins build
Hello, I thought I'd introduce myself by posting some pics of my build.
It's a 2001 Ford F650. It has a VP44 5.9 Cummins. When I got it, it was a cab/chassis that the previous owner had shortened to accept a regular long box. Before that it was a litter truck or something on a farm. Here's what we've done so far. I did most of the work myself at my friend Evan's shop (Backwoods Bumpers).
-clean inside and outside and build mounts to accept the bed, then mount bed
-took it to my place to paint it all white
-got rid of the old work interior and found a deal on black harley edition seats from an F250. also installed black carpet and changed some of the interior trim to black
-added a flip out dvd player
-blacked out the cab lights
-switched front wheels and tires to wide 315's for a beefier look
-installed 8" stacks and 4" straight pipe
-built some custom bumpers for it. the front one flips down to let the hood open
-Finally fixed my limp-mode problem!! it actually turned out to be a bad fuel filter. I guess changing the tanks up loosened up a bunch of rust!
That's it for now. I'll try to get some interior pics later. Here's some progress pics and some in the snow today.

Now that's a MAN sized truck. Looks tough, like a tank.
But those stacks...maybe they look better in real life but from the pics, they look huge, almost cartoonishly big. No disrespect, I like the truck, a lot...but those pipes really are huge by large! Maybe if you had just one stack?
