motor mount?
motor mount?
I have this squeekattle (combination of a squeek and a rattle) somewhere on the front drivers side. i was sure it was the drivers side shock, but after installing new bilsteins today it was still there. i have tightened every bolt and screw from the tranny to the front bumper over the last two weeks with no luck. my question is can a motor mount go bad or get rusty and produce a sound like a squeek or rattle? it does not start this until the motor warms up. btw, the bilsteins ride great. thanks
I had a similar situation that almost drove me to drinking. What I found was the transmission shift linkage was dry and very squeeky. I used a pair of latex gloves and hand messaged grease inot the bushings at all linkage pivot points.
Then go in the truck and cycle the shift lever a few times to work it in linkage.
My squeek and rattle went away....... Good Luck.

hey, easy with the latex....
I had the same thing after I changed my shocks. After asking the same question here, the suggestions were to tighten the bijeeses out of the bottom shock bolts and also check that the plastic wheel well is not loose.
Got about another 1/2 turn on the shock bolts and found a loose wheel well rivet. No more annoying rattle!
