motor mount?

I was pulling a trailer today with about 9000 lbs. payload and when I let out the cluth and started to torque on it a little I heard a loud popping sound under the hood. When I pulled over to inspect I had water leaking from the radiator. I looked for a while longer and found that when I torque on the motor it it raises up, right and forward at the same time. I know it's supposed to move a little but this is actualy causing the fan to eat into the radiator at the bottom. What do you guys think, motor mounts? thanks in advance.

Sounds like it. Have someone else apply torque and carefully find out what is giving the room to move.

there are slots in the mts so you do not have to pull the bolts all the way out to pull the eng....in other words if the nuts are loose you can lift the eng up and out w.o. getting the whole bolt out like in most other aplications. So yes tighten them up alot.

Thanks for all the input guys. It turned out to be the tranny mount. It had completely come apart.

When I got my truck the radiator had lots of places where the fan was eating it. About 10-15% of it is damaged. Guess I know what to check for now.
