mirror question

I have a 94, with two broken side mirrors. Mine have the metal arms (see photo). My question- will newer year mirrors fit/interchange? I think the newer style looks better.

I think everything up until 2001 (Ram 1500) or 2002 (Ram 2500/3500) will mount up. If they are power, the wire connections will be a little different. I just removed my chrome mirrors like yours on a 96 (put them up on ebay) and replaced with a set of 2000 models (black "mickey mouse" ovals) I found for sale locally. Found a wiring schematic on this forum or one of the other ones from a guy who had done the swap. The stock mirrors have 3 wires going to them, the post I found used mirrors with 6 wires, the newer ones I used had 5 wires, two of which were for the heater elements in the mirrors which I did not wire up. The guy with the 6 wire hookup had a few colors that were different from my 5 wire but I think the only difference was that has 6 wire mirrors had two blue wires and mine only had one. Wired them up and they worked as they should first time out of the box. I did have trouble with one of my power window connections going back together. The older plastic is somewhat fatigued on the wiring harness so I had to us a little glue to get the connection to work right after replacement. Good luck with yours!
