Is it me or are the seat belts/harnesses in the Rams short?
Well, have a friend who is a big guy especially up top. He can't buckle up on either side in my Dodge. Yet he can get into an RX-8, A-4, Civic, Explorer, F-150, Suburban, Suby, or any other car and buckles up just fine with plenty of room to spare. Buckled up in my 99 1500 also. Cripes, he drives the RX-8 now and used to drive the Civic every day. Did Dodge shorten the belt lengths at all, or are they just plain short to start with or might there be something wrong with the belts in my truck? Just curious.

My 1995 regular cab is the same way. I know two guys that have trouble with the belt length. It appears that 300 pounds is about the limit -- above that and seatbelt extenders are needed. Fortunately, I don't have this problem myself.

After I got my 05, I had to get the extenders for the rear seats.
The clips for the belts dont sit far enough into the seat area for elderly members of my family to connect them.
The extenders Im using are for a Chrysler 300.
The number off the one I have is
Model# 48565
Lot#465195311.
Hope this helps.

I will say this, Dodge sure didn't put any extra length on the stupid things!
I never had an issue until I got my 97. I am way too fat, but still, so I have been working on losing a bit of weight, and now can buckle it reasonably easy.
Hows that for a reason to lose weight!

I read "free" and went to my dealer. Free stopped 2 years ago and was quoted $25 each.
I have trouble latching as it is flush with the 40-20-40 bench seat. May have to make some strap iron extenders myself.......
