Manual to power mirrors ?
Manual to power mirrors ?
Hey folks, my 02 2500 came with manual tow mirrors. Since my wife has taken a liking to driving the truck, adjusting the mirrors is getting to be a PITA...
I would like to install a set of power & heated mirrors... Any ideas on what parts I would have to get to do this ?

Kool vue makes them. You will need the control switch for the door, and the A/C panel with the heat button in the lower left hand corner.
Good news is your 02 most likely has all the wiring and connectors present to hook them right up. Easy job.
You will want to retain the backing plates off your stock manuals and reuse them.
You may need to pare off a bit of the control **** to clear one of the bolts for the drivers mirror, no big deal.

That's a pretty good deal then, my A/C panel cost 75 bucks and I think I got the control **** for about 30 bucks.
HOT TIP: Make sure you thread the wires behind a couple tabs on the mirror mounting bracket where it goes to the door. You will need to pull a plastic plug out of the window pillar to thread the connector thru. This is a popular pinch point and can shred the wires when you tighten the brackets up.
You will be happy with them. Mine have been great and I could throw away the stick I used to use to adjust the passenger side!!
