making a 2500 into a 3500-help
First post here we go,i need some help,we have a 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 qaud cab diesel/5spd/3.54 with 60 k miles. my question is we tow and haul alot. we have a kubota l3830/723/r4 filled and a 3klb trailer on a bumber hitch i,m guessing 5k+lb tractor 2k implement and 3klbs for the trailer.lots of tounge weight and we haul a 10'10" northland camper with a 4' extension and a hewscraft boat alot.we,ve got the air bags,rs9000's,camper spring package but now we are looking at a new 3000 series bigfoot slide camper.we,ve already blown the sidewalls on a set of goodyear tires due to running the tires with lots of weight at max psi for extended periods.discount warranteed these tires and now i,m veerrryy careful on tire selection.we just about rolled our trk/cmper/boat at 65 mph in glacier park.so here it is,at 60k weve noticed things start to loosen up drag link, stabilizer, steering box, spings soften ect.so we have PUSHED this suspension to the very limit and i am wondering if you can convert a 2500 into a 3500???anybody done this??
