Low beams and high beams wont work?

Exclamation Low beams and high beams wont work?

2001 dodge ram 2500 cummins, and i don't get why but i turn the **** all the way to the right like i am supposed to and my low beams don't come on at all? and when i click the brights on i have to HOLD the signal switch towards me in order for the high beams to stay on. anyone have this problem? and how did you fix it?

probably the multifunction switch/ aka blinker switch. pull the plastic off the column, unbolt, unplug wires and replace. I replaced one on a 93 about 5 years ago and it wasn't too bad...maybe 20 minutes

Headlight switch or plug behind it is common to burn up, especially if you run the dash lights dim (adds heat to the switch). The early pull-out type switches for sure anyways, not sure how often the turn ****-type fail.
