low beams and high beams dont work

i have a 94 ctd and the low and high beams lights dont work...running lights and interior lights work fine...played with the high beams and turn signal switch and still nothing...took the bulbs out and put them in my girlfriends dodge and they worked fine...my truck is the base model..no power or tilt steering wheel....i checked the grounds to the bulbs and there is no corrosion or broke wires..dont know how to check the high beam switch...or where the connections would be...ive looked on other threads and all i can find is guys that have just the low beams out...not high beams to..so where do i start now? any help would be great....i havent drove my truck at night for about a month now and im getting sick of it....thanks

Probably worn out the contacts in the light switch, in the dash. Mine did, replaced it. Seems like it was $35-ish bucks.

They're cheap though.

Have you done the suvlights.com headlight relay kit? It takes the amps out of the dash switch (cooler operation) and helps the lights be brighter (shorter wire run).

Put a switch in the dash, when I got mine I had no lows, only highs when I held the switch back. The terminals were burnt on my switch.

Yes, it can save alot of problems down the road. Wires, connectors and switches have melted, its a good mod.

I am glad this topic came up and I hope I am not hijacking this thread with my question. Apologies to vtec vigor if it seems like I am.
Is this the kit you are speaking of KKRRSS?

http://suvlights.com/index.php?cPath=24_73

Which one do we need for our trucks? I ask because my headlight switch is very hot as is typical with these trucks and I want to do what needs to be done before I have a meltdown.

Thanks!

Yes, just call him and tell him your application.
Diesels need two of these (one for each side/battery).

It's totally worth it.
