Lost power locks/doors and instrumentation lighting
98 2500 quad cab
Had both front door panels off. with the electrical harnesses connected, the power locks and windows all operated correctly, including that the driver's door operated the passenger's door/window functions.
I popped on the passenger side panel. Lost both the power window and power door lock (manual lock still operational, door opens with handle ok).
Grrr....Driver's side still operating the driver's window/door locks.
I popped on the driver side panel. Lost both the power window and power door lock on DRIVERS side!
Pulled both panels, the passenger side had disconnected the electrical connection. reconnected, still no sound or clicking with any attempt to use power buttons for windows or door locks. In addition, I lost the backlighting on my instrument cluster!!!
I checked all the fuses in the inside fusebox with a multimeter, except the 2 large silver ones at the bottom. All fuses good.
What next? I will say that i had to pull the door handle pretty far out to slide the panel on, and i didn't remove the 10mm bolts from the door handle. Thats the only thing I can think of that would have had an effect....
I have dynamatted my door panel for sound deadening so i can't see into the door easily. It will help to know where to start looking!
Thanks
