Losing grease

I have a problem losing grease from my front wheel hubs. I just repacked them the bearing only none in the hub. I had the same problem the last time and changed the brand of grease I used did not help. Use only uniplex grease for dodge. It weeps out around the cup. Could it be them. been on the road for 3 days this is annoying streaks my wheels.

I've never used uniplex grease. I only use Kendall Super Blu L-427 grease when I seperate the hubs and repack the bearings. Come to think of it, I use it in ball joints, tie rod ends, ect. I've never had a problem with the grease weeping out from the hubs and they are the original bearings from '97 with 115,000 miles on them(I probably just jinxed myself). In fact, when I do seperate the hubs, for what is developing into a bi-yearly maintainence routine, the grease is still blue, clean and in place. The only things I can think of are the grease liquifying and/or the two halves of the hubs are not completely together. You would think if the hub halves weren't pressed together properly it should be obvious...movement in the hub as if the bearing went out. Does the grease that has weeped out appear to have the same consistancy as when you packed the bearings? Have you replaced the bearings? If so, are you sure they were the correct bearings/races? I actually saw the wrong bearings installed in rear hubs once when I was a teenager. My dad was replacing rear wheel bearings in one of his cars. Somehow, the wrong bearings where in the right box and he didn't check to see if the number stamped in the cage of the bearings matched the box number. He assembled everything without any problems...no movement in the wheels and they spun well. They lasted only about a week in that case. Anyways, I can see where the wrong bearings might not let the two halves of the hub press together completely, or, cause heat build up that exceeds the capabilities of the grease.
