Looking for replacement shocks

I'm new to the board and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for good replacement shocks. Truck has 26k on it and the front one's are gone. I did a search on the website but couldn't find what I was looking for. Where's the best place to buy them at??? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

First post...I'm new here too. Best I have used have been Bilstein HD, that includes playing with Monroe/Gabriel/Rancho/Edelbrock.

-hanko

Re:Looking for replacement shocks

Bilsteins or Ranchos seem to be the favorites on here...

Rancho Shocks
Bilstein Shocks

I like the Bilstiens a lot. Put them on my 3500 and could really tell a difference. I bought mine from Rickson Wheel. Think they were $ 62 each. Delivery was prompt and correct.

..Preston..

Just not as advertised or wear out, etc? Looked like clever idea, but wondered if it'd last in HD applications. Need shocks for my truck too, but not decided brand yet.
Regards,
-Scott
[/quote]

I had 'em on my 1500, and they were outstanding. I'll probably put them on this truck when the factory units wear out. Which shouldn't be too much longer, since I've got about 9000 miles on it now.

Re:Looking for replacement shocks

I put on a set of Edelbrock IAS shocks about 20K miles ago. Much better than stock - about same cost as Bilsteins or non-remote Ranchos. I tow infrequently but heavy when I do tow and I have no complaints on them handling the added weight. For the everyday commute they are firm but not jarring. It still feels like a TRUCK - not like a F150.
