Longbox to Shortbox

Has anybody on here made there Dodge 3/4 ton longbox truck into a shortbox truck? I know this sounds silly but I would like to try this. A couple of years ago my buddies and I made my 1968 F-100 into a short box and it worked out really well. I`m just wondering how to make the frame as strong as possible on a 3/4 ton to handle normal duties. I know big rigs extend their frames all the time and thats a lot more weight than what I have. I know where I can get a box so thats not a problem. My wife and I just got a really good deal on a house that we couldnt pass up and it turns out my truck is 1 1/2 feet to long to fit into the garage Any ideas? I know a lot of people are gonna laugh at this

It'd probably be easier to extend the garage!
