Longbox crew for sale in Florida
Happened to find this listing, I was hoping someone on the list lives near by and could take a look at this truck. It looks like one you could possible fly in and drive home. It appears to be in good shape? and would make a great conversion.
If someone does live near here I would be interested to know what shape the rockers, doors and cab floor is in?
Thanks

I bought this FL crew and it looked nice:
The cab was totally scrap with the exception of the doors. There was severe roof rust that extended into the upper door openings where the individual pieces are put together. EVERY seam joint was rusted through!
It even looks good in this picture but if I don't find a good roof soon it's getting gutted and scrapped!:
Florida's warm salty air works wonders on these non painted inner roofs. Notice the rust above the door hinge where the panels come together in this picture:
To me, that's a good hint to check the entire roof down to the upper door hinges on both sides. A perforated floor is an easy fix. A roof that is rusting out from the inside is a pure nightmare to deal with and generally on one of these is nearly impossible to permanently fix. BTW, the red one sold for $1200 at the sale. It cost an additional $1500 to get it here to PA. The only thing I used so far from this truck was the frame which was in its original paint & nice and shiny.

I thank God, and the original owner (a buddy! I rode in this special order truck when it was 2 days old!) that my truck spent its ENTIRE life in the DRY, DRY Mojave Desert! ZERO rust ANYWHERE!!!!
(We truly thought this guy would be BURIED in this thing!) The paint was trashed (surprise!) and the windshield leaked, but it is perfect!.
I am sooooo lucky!
