Liquid line replacement woes
I've purchased a new refrigerant liquid line but can't figure what sort of tool I need to remove the 'compression' fitting on each end.
See attachment for photo.
What's the proper name for this thing and where do I get the tool to remove/replace it?
Thanks
Marc

Any parts store carries them. May be a set of plastic or metal. I've been using the plastic kind for several years with no problem. Cost is about $10.00.

Same as a fuel line disconnect tool.
Ditto on the little plastic ones, they seem to fit in tight places better then the folding-sissor type.
For what it's worth, I had problems with that same fitting holding together on the new line. It blew apart right next to my head twice as I was filling it up, NAPA replacements. Make sure it fits perfectly square with nipple it connects to. Even still I had to make a band clamp of sorts to hold the two lines together.

Thanks fellas. It was under $10 for a set of plastic release tabs.
Didn't know until the counter man told me that a release is all that's needed.
