lighter socker removal?

lighter socker removal?
Does anyone know how to remove the lighter socket without having to remove the dashboard. Any info would be helpful.

I tried once but could not get behind it. You don't have to remove the dash, just the bezel around the instruments. Remove ash tray and drink holder on my 95 and the bezel snaps off,,pretty easy.
