License plate lights

My license plate lights stopped working- no biggie you'd think, but those buggers have literally rusted off the truck.
Where do I get a pair of those? How much $$$ ?

Thanks!

You can get replacements at the dealer - I think I paid like about $15 for one. I have a problem with my 99 though, the right Lic. Light likes to short out for some reason - even though the replacement wire was brand new! The whole socket was melted down into a mass glob on the end of the wire - eh, the other side works so what the hell - I just leave it to that one! LOL

Only problem is the nearest Dealer is 10,000 miles away from AlpineRam.

I think we're looking for an aftermarket source, preferably international.

I just replaced mine, melted also. Not sure on where to get them, but after I replaced them, I got the little 194 LED blubs. Less heat and wont melt them again. I got some white LEDS and swapped the amber ones for white. it was a pain, so now I have one amber and one white plate light. Maybe someone can buy you a set and send them to ya?? Dunno about international shipping thoguh.

Got tired of messing with mine. The plastic backing started to break down to the point they fell apart. Had some of those white LED's you buy on ebay for like $15.00 for 50 of them. One LED, one resistor, everything glued back in place.

Don't have to worry about the bulb for the next 100,000 hours. Took a 1/2 hour per light. Kevin
