Keyless entry remote programing

I lost my only keyless entry remote a few days ago and was able to get a remote from a 01 ram 1500 from a stockpile at work today. Does anyone know if this remote will work for my truck(only has the lock and unlock buttons, No panic button like my old one did) and if it will, how do i program it? All the posts regarding programing the remote required a panic button.

#3 blah blah- press the PANIC button blah blah

Don't think it'll work since he has no panic button on the new remote.

Not to mention, you have to have at least 1 programmed fob to be able to enter the programming mode.

I'd say you have to visit the Dealer.

Bought my truck used with no fabs-bought two from the dealer and had him program them. According to the repair manual in order to program a keyless remote is with a DRBIII Sacn Tool-which is a dealer item I take it.
