Just replaced fuel lines-two clamps per fitting??
well I finally got around to installing a new fuel tank sending unit, & replaced the fuel hose's from the engine pump to the fuel tank. I removed ALL the old steel rusty lines, and used that good marine stuff I found on line a month ago or so..question: It is recommended that two screw hose clamps be used per fitting right?..Is there a better clamp to use? I installed the new hose right up to the tank spigot. There really is no high pressure in the lines, up to the pump...right? Thanks..Man I'm glad I removed the power brake booster to fit the new hose up by the engine..(sign)

I have a rule of thumb, if the fitting is made for hose I use one clamp if I have cut a metal line and added a hose I use two. There is a upgraded screw clamp, don't know what its called, it has a metal band that protects the hose from the threads of the clamp.

I always use two clamps, cheap insurance.
Put them with the screw parts opposite each other and don't overtighten. I've had more problems with overtight clamps leaking than loose ones.

I have all ways used marine fuel line clamps. Stainless steel with the shield under the screw assy to prevent pinching. A little more money but last forever.
