Just drove my new
(to me) 96 Laramie Slt 2500 CTD 4x4 (145,000) across the country from california to WV. It has a banks exhaust, aftermarket lock up TC, K&N cold air intake, 285s, 4:10 rear. Holy cow what a fun truck! Got about 17 mpg at 70-75, better at 65.
Once in a while after fillups it seemed like I was getting a little bit of surge at highway speeds. I put some Power Service in and it went away. It was not a great deal of surge, maybe 50-75 rpms, but enough to notice. Next fillup it came back. I did not put in any PS this time and it went away on its own.
I know I have not provided much info, but is this fuel-quality related? Any ideas?
