Squeaky ball joints...
Front end squeaks;
I have what seems to be a couple of squeaks in the front of my truck, happens mainly at low speed, such as turning into a parking space. Lately they have become more pronounced. It's a 2wd, and with almost 319k on it, so it's time to go through the front end. The Passenger's side ball joint has a grease zerk (replaced once) but the driver's side is original. Suggestions on what to start with? Should ball joints be replaced in pairs? I'm planning to keep it a while so I don't mind spending a bit to make it solid all the way around. Thanks for the help!

Ole Squeaky
If its got 300 thou on it now, why not replace all of the components.. control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, drag link, pitman arm, sway bar bushings and shocks.. wheel bearings and brakes too, unless they were recently done.
I know its a lot of $$$ to lay out at one time (especially when its not Horsepower increasing $$) But you will basically have a brand new front end with 0 miles on it, ready for another 300 thou.

Thanks for the thoughts, what are "other" good shops to consider besides the dealer? I would like the dealer to do some of this, however, so I have recouorse if there are problems later on. Suspension & steering components seem rather important...
