Intermitent wipers no worky!

For awhile my intermitent wipers were working intermitently and now they quit working completely.......The high and low wiper speeds still work.......I thought I remembered reading that there was some type of connector problem with the intermitent wiper module.......any thoughts or suggestions?......does anybody know where the module is located?

Try shuffleing some different relays for the wipers in the fuse box under the hood. I pulled my wiper relay one time and the intermitent function stopped, but high and low still worked. So, I would check there first.

The module is underneath the driver side kick panel, next to the steering column. When I had the same issues, I forgot to connect it when I put everything together.

I had that same problem a month ago...now they work fine. I bought a new intermittant module (under the kick panel) and never installed it, It's yours if you think you might need it...

Mine act weird, too. Sometimes they will run intermittently, like they are supposed to, then there is a click under the dash. When that happens, they switch to running on low. Sometimes the intermittant part won't even work. Will just run on low. High works properly, when switch to that position.

Module problem maybe, or multi-function switch maybe?

Just an update guys..........I swapped out the wiper relay in the relay/fuse box under the hood as DZLPWR suggested and the intermitent wipers now work properly and consistently.

Thanks for the feedback....

Could you tell me which relay it is? Is it one in the PDC or elsewhere?

Thanks.

I'm sure the relay is in a different location on the 94-97's but it is in the PDC somewhere......it should be clearly marked in the diagram on the underside of the box......my 98.5 was simply labeled "WIPER RELAY".

Thanks.

Nothing is marked as such, on my truck, that I've been able to find. That's is why I asked. I'll keep looking then.

Sheesh!!....my bad!....I forgot all about getting back to you....sorry.....You are right, the wiper relay is not in the PDC on 94-97....I'm not certain where it is?? .....maybe someone else can chime in on that?......Update on mine: looks like the contacts in the wiper motor are smoked!

That's alright. Wish I could figure out where I put my FSM. Got it around here somewhere.
