Hi to All!<br>This is my first time here, and I'd like to start with a question.<br>I have a 97 extenda cab 2500. It is an Automatic,4X4 Cummins. It has 39K miles on it. I have owned it for 2 years and it runs pretty descent. Here is the delema...I have a chance to get my Dad's 2K quad cab, it's a 3500 with the Allison 6 speed (Diesel). It's got 18 K miles. It is totally decked out with ton's of mods.It has Retractible mirrors, exaust brake, modchip, modded turbo,100 gallon transfer fuel tank, air bags for the rear,and a bunch of other electronic stuff that would take me an hour to type out.<br>I don't NEED the dually part of it and I'm a little worried if my wife could drive it.(Only in the unlikely event her car is broken)<br>He has ordered a brand new 4 door of the same breed. Dodge is only offering around $16K for my truck and $25K for his.<br>(Without most of his options) (I have to pay extra for them)<br>My final price for his truck would be $31K. I can afford to get his truck, so that's not a factor in this descion.<br>I pull my camper a dozen times or so in a year, it's pretty much a toy for me. I guess I'm atracted to it because it's cool!Is it going to come down to my personal prefference or can someone help me with some thoughts.<br> I dont know if I should upgrade mine or get his.<br>Thanks alot!<br>

 

Apples to apples, I'd stay with the Dodge. The Duramax's havent been out long enough Textto really have a good feel of how they will hold up. Esp. with the mods. Only my .02$ worth

Keep yours, put a little money in Eng upgrades and it will run like a new truck except better.
