Infinity speakers, impedance

My son blew the drivers door speaker in his 98 Dakota with the Infinity sound package.
He read on his Dakota forum theat the factory speakers are 2 ohm impedance.

I'm looking to get him a set of speakers for Christmas, he has seperate woofers and tweaters in the door. Problem is so far the only seperates I can find is 4 ohm impedance.

I'm hoping thw sound experts on here will be able to tell me what the outcome will be if I put 4 ohm in the front doors while he still has the original 2 ohm in the back seats? My hunch is he'll have less 'volume' with the 4 ohms, any advice?
I'm pretty sure his is Infinity system is the same as in the full size trucks, any advice?
Thanks

My wife blew a speaker cone in her 2000 Durango SLT+ with the Infinity system. I wound up going to the dealer for a replacement because of the 2 ohm factory speakers. A 4 ohm speaker would produce less volume at a given output (volume) setting as current would be halved.

Infinity DOES make 2 ohm spekaers, but unless you pay big bucks you don't get the external tweeter.

There's some 62.7i's on Ebay for a reasonable price, but not with the seperate tweeter:

Huh. I just went downstairs and measured the impedence of the 5.25 Infinitys that I took out of the rear doors of my '99 Ram.
3.7 ohms. That's 4 ohms nominal. I replaced all my speakers with Polk products and they seem to crank just as loud as they did before. Mike

I think you measured the resistance. Impedance varies with alternating current, as per:

Thanks though Mike!

just get him the components for the front, and a cheaper same brand coax for the rear, you don't need high quality speakers in the rear, just make sure the wattage rating is about the same for both sets.
