Idler arms lasting only 3 months?

On my 98 24V 2wd auto., I am going through idler arms faster than I should. But I can't find anything else that could be causing it. I put one in last September,. and by January it was getting scary to drive,. I replaced it again, and that's when I looked up my notes and found out it's happened that quick a few times. My original lasted close to 200k. These I have been getting are from autozone,. I guess I don't mind changing them every few months because it's only about a ten minute deal (and free..lifetime warranty),. but you would think autozone would get tired of replacing things on warranty and change to a different supplier. THe mgr. told me that a year ago they changed suppliers to the steering boxes for dodge diesels because they had so many problems with the previous ones. So,..anybody else wear out idler arms that fast?
