I have a buddy with a 2006 just like mine. He has a new turbo, 90hp stix, intercooler, Afe stage 2 intake, Blade runner intake horn, Billet Trans and some other misc parts with no box or chip or any other computer moding Equipment. The majority on here start or at least add the computer stuff, Like me. He is at about 450 HP, I am just wondering the longjevity of each rig.
What do you all think.

 

IMHO he is not getting the tuning he needs with that setup. If he would add a Smarty he would be able to tune his engine with those mods. Lot more in that truck. As far as longevity with just a small box I would say your truck should last longer. You can turn a box or programmer down anytime you want. He can't take that stuff of without a ton of work. He can't tune up or down. You can.

 

450hp sounds high for just those mods. The only fueling increase he has are 90hp injectors. I bet he's really closer to 370-380 RWHP.
