I need help finding parts for a friends truck
Hello everybody! I have been lurking for a couple months and I am beginning to like this forum.
I have a friend that puchased a 1997 Dodge 3500 quad cab and needs a defrost actuator, a headliner, and the little metal ring that the bolts go through on the turbine side of the turbo.
What is a good source for these? He checked with the dealer about the headliner and they quoted him $600
He would also like to get the front seat redone.
What are your recommendations?

For the healiner I would try to find a local guy, many towns have one that does tehm out of their garage, I have found that most of these guys do good work, because all of their business comes from word of mouth. I would look for a shop that specalizes in auto upholstrey for the seats.
I believe the defrost actuator is a dealer only part.
Not sure on the ring...To dark to go out and look
Although the dealer should have one as well, wouldn't hurt to ask.
And a 97 quad cab?

I'd suggest checking Ebay. They're always someone disassembling something.
I was trolling thru there a couple of days ago and ran across a guy selling the Cummins (front)plates. New, wrapped in celophane, including postage, $7! One guy had a complete rear drive shaft with carrier brg. for $125. You just never know....

"customheadliners@bellsouth.net" is a E-Bay seller for headliners. He seems like a knowledgable guy. I have been e-mailing him for info and will buy his product for my reg cab. It is a do-it-yourself product, but taking out the headliner is not hard. Total cost including adhesive is less than 50.00$
