hub centric spacers

I've had my truck for right on five years now. Same wheels, several sets of tires. I had a guy that I work with swap front to back one day while I was out. He came back later and said I should be running hub-centric spacers on my wheels so the weight rests on the hubs rather than the lug bolts. My wheels have a center cap that slides into place from the back, so it would definately take some figuring to get the right spacer. It makes enough sense, having the full weight ride on the hub, but is this something I should address? I've never fully taxed the capabilities of the trucks weight capacity, I just pull car trailers around. I do however want to make sure I'm treating it (the wheels I guess) right.

Thanks.

Also, where would I look for those spacers at. Our OReilly's doesn't carry 'em.

Our trucks use lug-centric wheels. I don't think it has anything to do with weight-carrying abilities, just the way they are set up. IMO, lug-centric is much easier to deal with, than hub-centric. 8 lugs to center the wheel vice 1 hub with close tolerances.... JMHO....
