How do you by-pass the security system without the FOB

This question came about after I left my truck running and shut the door with it locked. The question: How do you start your truck with just an extra key, and by pass the alarm? (You do not have a FOB, or battery in FOB is dead) This could happen to any of us! I tried it and my alarm kept sounding and my truck would not continue to run after start?????

Which switch? and location? Thanks for your help. I do not see a switch, just a little connection ASB security? But no switch.

The factory security system does not have a switch under the dash.It should have a disarm switch on the door lock cylinder

I found out today how to bypass the security mode when it is on without the FOB. Use your key and unlock the door two times. This will turn the security system off, and you can also start your vehicle. The information is not in the book. So just double tap when unlocking the door with your key!
