"hot" wiring door window motor
"hot" wiring door window motor
I have a pair of doors with electric motors, I am trying to close the windows for winter storage.
I have pulled all the engine bay wiring off the truck I'll need already.
I fiqured if I put a hot wire into one of the window motor's factory two prong plug ins and ground to the screws that the motor is screwed to the door with it would work....
It didn't.
Any ideas?
Thanks

It should work. Instead of grounding to a screw, gnd to one of the prongs. It should work, unless your window motor is bad. thats how I always tested em at work to see if its the motor or the switch
So if I stick a positive wire and negitive wire into the female two prong plug one way it will go up, if I switch the wires it will go down.
I like what I am hearing.
I was thinking there must be a way to test the motor with some hot wires.
Electrical work is not my calling...
Thanks Guys!
