hot air at idle

Just wondering the causes of my a/c blowing hot air at idle. As long as the rpm's are at least 1500, it seems to blow cold as ice, but as soon as you let it idle for bout 30 seconds it starts to blow hot. Is this a sign of not enough air flow through the condenser because of wore out fan clutch, "radiator and condensor clean by the way", or could the orfice tube be pluggin up. I checked the low side pressure and it is normal at about 37 psi. Any ideas would be great thanks

I just recently had the same issue. I solved it by cleaning my radiator. Sounds like you already cleaned yours. I would start with the fan clutch.

Yes. I did not want to pull the radiator, so I used one can of engine degreaser on each side of the radiator. Let it sit for 15 - 20 minutes. And then used a pressure nozzle on the end of the hose and rinsed each side. I made sure I could run water through the radiator from the back side. I'm sure I did not get all the crap out of it, but it worked well enough to flow the air and fix my hot air at idle issue.

If anything helped it would have the condenser got cleaner the radiator if that bad would have overheated.

The radiator was not completely plugged, but bad enough to keep the fan from pulling air across the condenser at idle. Actually, my truck runs a little cooler now too. Before the cleaning, I ran right at 190 or a little over. After the cleaning, I rarely hit 190.
