Hi all I hooked on my fifth wheel tonight and was trying the lights well I had no dash lights so I checked the fuse it was blown so I put in a new fuse and I saw the dash lights come on for an instant and go back off check the fuse and it is good but still no lights. Anyone had any problems with this before??

 

Something is shorting out. Does it blow when you don't have the trailer hooked up?

 

I have got tail lights and brake lights on the truck and the trailer just no dash lights I don't know when the first fuse blew but the second one never did blow but I still have no lights.

 

well I am pretty sure it is in my light switch it got dark and I could not check it out. What is the easiest way to get to it.

 

Pull the front dash fascia off (just pops off with a little effort). You'll see the switch and how to remove it. Those switches are notorious for dying.

 

i had a similar problem with mine my parking lights went first then my dash lights finally my head lights. pull the switch out and disconnect the harness.mine looked fine on the outside but the connections on the inside were completely melted.if it is the switch go to napa the dealer is way too expensive.
