Exclamation Help!

Okay, so what's the trick? I'm trying to do the Sport headlight conversion.
How do I get the old headlights out and the new ones in without having to remove the bumper?!?
I removed the bumper cover (and all the plastic clips broke off because they were old and very cold ), but it didn't help.

The bottom mounting/housing screw/bolt is the hardest to get to. usually it is easier to access with losening the bumpers support brackets bolts. 3 on each side.

No problem getting the headlight assembly bolts out. Just no room to tilt or roll the assy out of the fender before it hits the bumper.

Reach your hand in and unhook the blubs first.

Had the bulbs out already. Looks lie my only option is to drop the bumper.

My trick is to remove the two bolts from the front cab mounts (right behind the front bumper), then jack up the front of the body a couple inches, one side at a time. Just roll a shop jack under the front bumper, put a wood block between it and the truck body and pump it up a couple strokes. Much easier than wrestling with the bumper.

hmm. when i converted mine it was just easier for me to remove the bumper bracket bolts and support the bumper with a floor jack. I thought you were still able to remove with loose bolts tho. really loose. If my truck wasn't lifted maybe I would try the body mount idea. but not with the lift.

I'm just going to drop the bumper. I wish I could find a nice aftermarket one to replace it with.

Okay, got err done. Dropped the bumper. One bolt was frozen of course. Installed my harnesses through the headlight openings and wired each to the battery on that side. A lot brighter, just need to aim them still. May need to change things later if I get too many complains about my low beams. Right now all the low beams come on on low and all the high beams come on on high.
