Headlights

My dad has a 99 3500 CTD. The other nite the headlights quit working, then came back on very dim. Now the dims dont work at all, the brights are dim, and if he tilts the steering wheel down the brights go OFF, tilt the steering wheel up and they come back on.

Thanks

There's been a few posts on here for similar problems. I remember guys saying the column is very susceptible to getting gunk in there where the turn sig. stick goes into the column. I'd pull the cover off the column and clean it all out good. While ur in there check for any loose wiring. If it does it when you tilt the wheel, my bets are a plug is loose, or a wire is rubbed through at the pivot point.

Mine did the same, along time ago, I had a broken wire at the switch, it was a simple fix.
