Headlight switch wiring diagram
Headlight switch wiring diagram
I was plowing in the blizard we just had, first my wiper motor shorted out and then I smell melting plastic. Now the interior lights are stuck on. I get out to shovel in front of the truck and now my interior is filled with smoke. So this is the second time my headlight switch had gone. The harness is melted so i replaced it with female spade disconnects, but 2 wires had the insulation melt all the way into the dash at least 15 inches and probably more. I've searched all over for the wiring diagram of the switch such as terminals B1,B2,B3,D,I,U. I'm going to wire relays for the lights and I can't identify the 2 wires that melted so i can replace them. I put a new switch on but the interior lights are stuck on regardless of what I do. This all hapened because I wired the plow lights into the headlight wires. The same thing happened this summer when I rented a Bobcat & trailer. So I'd like to get everything on relays. The wiper fuse blew, I pop a new one in and the wipers move 1/4" then the fuse blows again. Shorted?
Hey, I am looking at a 97 FSM, and all I can identify is B1, 12 gauge LtGreen/Red from fuse 6 ( 40 amp.) and B2 20 gauge Pink/Red from fuse 18 ( 15Amp )
Past that I dont see anything else you mention. I have to head out right now, but on Monday if you still dont have the Info, let me know and I can either fax the pages to you or email them to you in a .PDF format.
Sorry, that's the best I have right now.
