headlight problems

Howdy yall,
I was just wondering if any of you guys had experience with a headlight bulb constantly exploding? There seems to be a little bit of water in the headlight, as well. I've replaced the dang thing a few times now and it keeps doin the same thing. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ian

If you're using halogen bulbs, DO NOT touch the glass with your fingers!! The oil from your hands causes failure. Get all the water out of housing. Halogen bulbs burn very hot, any foreign material on glass will blow them.

Drill a very small hole in the bottom of the housing and the lowest point. It fixed the water problem I had and have used the same bulb for 9 months now.

These plastic headlights are famous for getting moisture inside, some designs more than others. The fix, as Tommy said, is drill a hole in the lowest spot you can get to. Ideally this would be on the bottom of the housing, so that it would be difficult for water to get back in there, but sometimes you cannot access it so you can drill the hole at an angle, as much vertical as possible, at the front of the housing. If you have to do this look and see if you can drill it towards the center of the truck, so as to discourage more water splashing in.
