Headlight Adjust Screws

One of the torqx screws on my headlight is wallered out and won't turn. How is the best way to remove the screw to replace it?

Sawzall.

Just kidding. I'd try a small flat screwdriver first, if that didn't work I'd try those screw removers that Sears sell that go in your cordless drill. Chuck it in and run it in reverse. I've had pretty good luck with those on screws around the house--storm windows, hinges, etc.

I've never seen the screw remover. I'll go by Sears tomorrow and check it out.
Thanks,

Pull the metal clips that hold the headlight in place, and remove the headlight. Then you can remove the screw with a pair of vice-grips. If you look on the outside edge of the lens, you should see the clips I am talking about. Good luck.

Yeah, that happened to me only it was the bottom one that adjusts the height. It got stripped when the drivers side headlight was practically pointing down. I had to drive like that for months until I got some free time to take my headlight assembly out. I just got a dremel and cut a slit on the head of the screw so I can use a flathead to turn it.

Yep, mines the bottom one too. I'm not sure my Dremmel will reach that far in, but I'll check. I've tried to find a bit that will drill a square hole, but no luck yet.
