HD suspension or Standard?

I'm ordering outer tie rod ends and they want to know if it is HD or standard. how can i tell? the passenger side outer seems to be about 4' long and the pitman connects to it close to the end on the right side. they sent me one, was the right lenght but had nowere to connect the pitman to it.

Well that could be interpreted a couple of ways, at least to me. Anything with the diesel has got to be HD. But they could be asking about if you have the snowplow package. I put some new TRE's and a track bar on my 2000 not to long ago and I don't recall Napa asking me if it was HD.

The HD 2wd came with a solid axle up front. They may be referring to that. I know I get asked all the time if my truck has a solid axle or IFS.

I just did this job. Look at your GVW on drivers side door. Heavy duty is 8,800 GVW.Moog numbers are DS-1309, DS 1308T, ES3248RT, Pitman arm tie rod ES3249RT, Adjusting sleeve ES2012S. Have your date of manufacture too.

Actually, I believe you're referring to the cab-and-chassis model. All 2WD trucks are IFS except for the cab-and-chassis models.
