gauges

installed my new glowshift gauges, they look good, install was easy, if i could figure out how to put a picture in here i'd put one, at idle, i have 29 psi fuel pres, goes to 24 on acceleration, egt is @ 200, boost stays at 0 at idle, goes to around 20 when shifting, does this sound about right, egt goes up when shifting

29 psi for fuel pressure is high. where are you getting the reading for this. Is the fuel pressure gauge mechanical or is it using a electrical sender? I have heard electrical being slightly higher reading than a mechanical but not that high. I'm at 19-20 psi at idle. most Air dogs/Fass etc. with filters or just pumps alone are 16psi to 20psi.
200* is usually the temp when cold and initial start up at idle. usually on a warm engine within 1-4 min of idle coold down you should be around 300* to 375* during shifts with a manual egt's will go down some and then punch back up when you are adding throttle and fuel. The boost reading at idle well there really isn't going to be much of a reading at idle.

I have never been a fan of glow shift gauges. IMO and experience with friends they have had to many issues with new gauges out of the box. issues with the thermocoupler failing within months.

can you explain more on where at on the engine each gauge is getting its reading. also if they are electric or mechanical.

I'm thinking that your EGT readings need further evaluation. Can you give more info about where your probe is on the exhaust and what your reading is at, say, 2000RPM.

Cheers!

the egt is 200, at wot it goes to around 400, since installing, i haven't really driven it to get much hotter, but it has gotten to almost 400, and it rises when when i accelerate, as for the fuel pres, the instructions said to tap in below the fuel filter canister, it is electrical,

I am not too sure what to tell you. My EGT's run 550 - 650 Deg F at normal hwy cruising (1,800RPM at ~65MPH), 850 deg. going up goodly hills on the highway and will hit 1150 towing the RV up a mountain side.

Where is your temp probe situated in the exhaust stream? Pre turbo or post?
