Long beds are 35 gallons.

Short beds are 34 gallons.

Exception is the half tons. Those short beds are 26 gallons. Longs are still 35.

Right in the range. Some come on with more fuel, some less.

My 00 holds 35 gal. I'd look it up in a FSM or give the vin to a dealer & ask if I were planning on running it low. You could also put an extra 5 gal in the back & get a really accurate measure.

This is what the specs were according to Dodge when our trucks were made.

I assume they're about the same a dozen years later.

ive found that I can get about 450-475 miles out of my 1998.5 2500 24v automatic. After that I'll start sucking air. Granted I'm pushing 217k miles

Twice I've had to get my tank almost empty so I could pull the sending unit and replace it. When re-filling it it took over 35 gallons.
