fuel how long is to long

fuel how long is to long

Ok so my truck broke down about 6 to 7 months ago before i went on deployment and well i am going home soon and the truck has fuel in it do you think it is still safe to run through the truck? should I get rid of it and put new fuel in it? thank you.

That should have no effect on the fuel unless you left the filler cap off. At the most, I might find a quart of Power Service or similar additive and dump in there since it has been sitting. You should be fine as is though.

The only thing i would worry about is if you live in a humid climate, i left my truck parked for 5 months last summer, and when I started using it , algae had grown in the tank, it took a month and 4 filter changes to get it all out.
