Front shock bolt question

On the bottoms of the front shocks, is the nut that the bolt threads into fixed? Replacing the shocks on a 96 4x4 and i am not sure if the nut on the back side that the bolt threads into is fixed in its position or if i need to put a wrench on it, thanks.

I know on mine (it's not a 4x4) it had a tab on the nut that prevented it from turning all the way around so I didn't have to put a wrench on it.

tab shouldnt break off, make sure and use some penetrating oil, soak the bolt and the nut makes it go on easier.
