front fender replacement

Greetings just wondered how hard it is and what is needed to replace the front fender skins on my 97. I have a bit of rust and not sure the body shop will be the best option. Thinking either LMC or a salvage yard if I can find straight ones. Thank you, Brian

They aren't too bad at all. Hardest part is drilling out the spot welds holding the inner fender to the outer. Then you just spot weld it to the new fender and you are good.

Been there done it....My aftermarket fenders fit really good...I was surprise...I thought I drank to much beer when I installed them....And like Jamie said...You have to drill out the spot welds on the old fender wheels wells and install them on the new fender..
