3500 plastic fender replacement or repair

Looking for the most reasonable fix for the plastic extension for dually fender. I've priced around for a "new" genuine factory replacement. OUCH!...I don't think I'll be going that route. Are there any other knock offs that look acceptable.

Worst case scenario, I had a reputable body shop look at it. I can be repaired. Cost factor with both approaches is about 4-5 hundred difference.

Any input, suggestions?

We repair fiberglass daily and expect the repaired sections are stronger than new. I would't hesitate to go the repair route

I have fixed those exact fenders and seen 3 to 4 years and still no problems. You should just be very happy that it is able to be repaired because as you said those things can be redicoulsy expensive. I would defenitly go the repair route.

i hit a deer while huntin in missouri this winter. cracked the fender all to heck and broke a small piece. not wanting to drive all the way back home i bought about four bottles of loctite super glue gel. glued the he--ll out of all of it and it's still holding. not very pretty to look at (needs sanding and painting) but that stuff will hold anything. but yea go the repair route.

but, i thought they were plastic and not fiberglass anymore?????
