front end vibration when braking

I am going through my newly acquired 97. replaced the 16.5" rims and tires with e rated tires for towing, replaced the outer right side tie rod end, and now i have a serious braking vibaration. The tires were done first, no problem then. This started after replacing the tie rod end. Now the driver's side front tire feels like it is jumping off the road when hitting the brakes. i did have a slight vibration that felt like it wsa coming from the back end the whole time. Maybe a drum out of round. The ball joints were replaced by the previous owner, i have a steering stabilizer on the way, the old one could be compressed by hand. i am going through the front end check list that was posted on another thread in this forum. I do not belive this to be an issue with the front brakes, I have not done the alignment yet, the tires were just put on then the truck was used to move a toolbox, then taken back home and parked. Steering stabilizer will be here today, so plan is to install it, check the front end and then take it for the alignment. I will add, the new tie rod was put in the same numebr of turns as the old one, and i don't believe it to be a problem related specifically to the new tie rod, maybe the slop in the old one absorbed the vibration. Any ideas???
BTW_ all this has been a big improvement over the truck when I drove it home, a load of hay was enough to make the sway almost dangerous, plus there was a ton of play in the steering wheel. the tie rod and getting rid of the 33.5x12 tires has done wonders.

Sounds like a warped rotor. If so also check that your calipers are not sticking. Actually for the cost of a caliper I would just replace both of them, with new rotors.

don't think this is brakes related. it is better or worse depending on the road, plus you can't feel it in the steering wheel. Any ideas that are suspension related??

I as thinkin' the same thing... a warped rotor, but it might be a "toe" issue... more weight is obviously transferred to the front when braking, making the shake more noticeable..I'd get the front aligned and see where you at from there...
