Front brakes

I am in need of new front pad's, Has any one used the one's from napa? What do you use? Semi-metalic or metalic? What have you heard about the ceramic one's? I don't know if i need new rotars yet, Guess i will find out when i tear it down and measure. Do you have any pointer's for a break job? Thank you for any help.

Napa pads work prety good the ceramics will eat your rotors from my understanding. the metallics will work get the haevy duty type try not to turn the rotors if possible in order not to thin them out and check for deep heat fractures

Jon,
Just put my second set of NAPA pads on. This set had 40k on them and still had pad left. Considering that over a third of that is with a 12 k fifth I'm well satisfied with their service life.

Bill

Re:Front break's

I just put a set of the NAPA ceramics on, truck stops much better. Be sure to clean and adjust the rear drums while you're at it, mine needed about 25 or 30 clicks to get them up to where they should be, now the pedal is nice and high.

John

Re:Front break's

there are only a couple of makers of brakes Raybestos, and Wagner. so wherever you buy them just make sure they come w/a lifetime warranty and YES ALWAYS turn your rotors if you stand there and watch them turn i will Guarantee you'll see a warp taken out . It's a little more work but it gives you a supreme job CASEY ASE brakes & front ends
