Finally got one

Well guys I finally went and got myself a ctd. Its a 1997 ex cab 4x4 auto. its only got 123000 miles on it. I dont think the town I live in is ready for this

sounds like quite a find. around my area, its hard to find a 12v that isn't close to or over 200k miles.

My brother had the same year, same truck in a long box. He loved it. GREAT mpg's. And I remember how impressed he was with the power to pull his trailer, compared to the gassers. (Now we've got the power plus, but the new ones are getting way worse mpg's.) His was patriot blue, but then I think they ALL were in '97! (JK!)

the first thing im gonna do is straight pipe it and put a bhaf on it. The reason I got it was because of the low miles and it was only $10k, I wanted a 5spd but had to make a compromise, even with $4 fuel i still save money compared to my gasser.

Congrats on the truck!
Fuel prices SUCK, nobody will disagree. But the trucks are nice!
BTW, anybody ever figured how much fuel one could buy for the cost of average set of upgrades?..

Twice the mpg's, and you get a great truck for 10 grand! Think of all the money you'll have left over to "bomb" your truck!

well I got the truck today. I already took out the silencer ring,but on a bhaf, and straight piped it. All I can say is WOW, never goin back to gas. I have driven a stock 02 HO but it doesnt even compare to this, money well spent.
