DW it's back

Yesterday on my way home I hit a pothole with the left front tire and Death wobble shook my fillings loose. Last spring I installed a thuren adjustable track bar, which is still tight on the frame and axle. As are the other front end components.

Could this just need a proper alignment, or is there something else to try.

Alignment, tie rods ends, steering stabilizer, or shocks.

I'd check the tire rod ends REAL close. A lot of times they're bad and you can't even tell.

Where did you get it aligned before? You gotta get that caster at least at 3.2 (left) and 3.5 (right) degrees; not just what the machine says is within spec.

I had DW once and front end and track bar were tight. Turned out I had an belt seperation in one of the front tires. Of course it had a little wobble after the DW too.

My DW has also returned....But I think the brake rotors are warped...Seem like when I brake before hitting the pothole the wobble begins...

Seems like I've been seeing a lot about DW lately. I haven't experience it but it sure does sound bad! Is this mainly a 4x4 problem or can 4x2's have it happen too?

It's a 4x4 issue... But it can be fixed.

I dont drive the truck in the winter and have only put 2000 miles on the truck since the thuren was installed. I didnt get it aligned yet because next month I will be putting new heavier front coils and bilsteins on the front to level it.

I figured to get it aligned after the new coils, shocks and tires were on. The front coils are weak, and I would rather replace them instead of putting spacers on top.

i used to have dw constantly, after all new ball joints and another new track bar its gone. now its back, but only when braking, brand new rotors, so im gonna be replacing the hubs this time. as for coils, if you used the D25's, which are the perfect height, my advice would be a good coat of paint, over the factory powder coat.

Ya I know what you mean with the d 25 red paint. I might go with some coils from a spring shop. There was a thread here about 6 months ago where a member bought some quality coils, I cant remember his name but will find it on a archive search.

My rotors are new, and I am kinda leaning towards what wcbcruzer said about the alignment not being correct, and not just within specs.

Well here is the link to my alignment thread. There's links and specs you might want to go by. If everything in your suspension is good and you still have DW, then the alignment should take care of it. Almost anything that's worn up front can cause DW.
