Dually LT235/85R16
Anyone know if there is a taller tire that can be mounted on a 2002 1 ton that the rear duals wont touch in the center.

02's have more spacing between the tires than earlier models. Consensus is that you can run 255's without rubbing. I haven't done it, but i've seen it on here many times.

With the wider offset in the '02's, you can run 255-85-16's without rubbing. I did it for 15K miles pulling heavy loads. There's another problem, however. This is a skinny tire with a tall sidewall, and it only comes in load range D. That means a lot of sidewall flex, especially when loaded. My tires got sloppy at high speeds and eventually several had belt separation in the sidewalls. They were Firestones :P but it's happened with other brands.
With a 3.55 axle and a 255 tire, you'll lose top gear grunt when towing in the mountains.
IMO, a better option for an '02 3500 is a 265-75-16, load range E. Same height as a 235-85-16, but wider. However, at 80 psi with a heavy load, I have over an inch of clearance between my rear Michelins.
