DSS on!

So I installed my DSS yesterday afternoon and can't really tell much of a difference, but there is definitely a firmer feel to the wheel.

My Q? is this. What should the toe be set at for the 4x4 2500? I recall reading that there is a better setting than the factory spec. Thanks.

Kurt

This is gonna sound like a very amature question, But what is a DSS? I see it on everybody's sig and havent been able to make it out. From your post i'd assume its like a steering stabalizer. ?

DSS was the original acronym for "Darin's Steering Stabilizer". It is a brace that supports the sector shaft of the steering box by placing a pillow block bearing on the lower part of the shaft. If you do a google for Solid Steel DSS you should get the original. A lot of manufacturers have copied the original design, but Solid Steel is the original.

The extra support keeps the sector shaft bearing from wearing out prematurely, and tightens up your steering a bit.

on edit: Here's the link:

I feel it's best to use the original http://www.solidsteel.biz/product_dss.htm since he was the inventor of the support.
Story is he got cheated on the patent by a partner who was also cheating with his wife.
